Political books need to be read, heard, viewed, and studied on digital platforms

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man urged the National Political Publishing House Truth to accelerate digital transformation and apply new technologies so that political theory books can reach readers through various forms of reading, listening, viewing, and studying.

On the morning of 11/12, the 80th-anniversary celebration of the National Political Publishing House Truth's traditional day (1945-2025) was held at Ho Guom Theater. In his congratulatory letter, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that over the past 80 years, the National Political Publishing House Truth has promoted its role as the Party and State's agency for publishing political and theoretical works. Books published by the house have made significant contributions to the cause of national liberation, construction, and defense, serving the country's renewal process. The General Secretary expressed confidence that the publishing house would promote solidarity, innovate its governance model, and operate in a professional, humane, and modern manner. It would also proactively update global trends and actively apply information technology, especially on digital platforms.

Speaking at the celebration, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the importance of political theory books integrating into daily life, reaching every official, Party member, and citizen. He underscored that scientific research must be considered a strategic pillar alongside editing and publishing, closely linked to practical reviews. Man noted that current realities present many new, complex theoretical issues, requiring timely, convincing, and scientifically grounded solutions.

Chairman Man specifically called for accelerated digital transformation, including the application of new technologies, artificial intelligence, and big data into editing, publishing, archiving, and dissemination processes. This involves developing a multimedia publishing system and building an e-book library. The ultimate goal is for political books to be read, heard, viewed, and studied on various digital platforms.

He also urged officials, Party members, and employees of the National Political Publishing House Truth to possess courage and a spirit of service, be steadfast and exemplary in word and deed, and prioritize the interests of the Party, State, and people. Man emphasized that each page of a book must be an "ideological barrier", and each work a "theoretical fortress" that persuades through knowledge, science, reason, and truth.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Man, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, awarded the First-Class Labor Order to the National Political Publishing House Truth.
