A section of Chieng Pac Pass in Muoi Noi Commune, Son La Province, experienced a landslide around 10 am on 5/8. Heavy rain caused earth and rocks to spill onto National Highway 6, affecting the area between km322 and km323.
Three cars traveling on the highway were suddenly engulfed by the debris; one vehicle was pushed against the guardrail. The road surface was flooded with over 50 cm of water. Fortunately, all occupants managed to escape safely.

Immediately following the incident, 226 Joint Stock Company deployed two excavators to clear the earth and rocks, restoring the route. Road Management Area I coordinated traffic safety measures, including diversions and vehicle warnings.
Throughout the night of 5/8, rescue units concentrated personnel and equipment to clear the landslide and address flooded areas. By 5:30 am on 6/8, the section of road through Chieng Pac Pass was temporarily reopened for one-way traffic towards Son La - Tuan Giao, allowing vehicles to pass after 6 hours of closure.
