The owner of a nearby jet ski service launched a vehicle to assist. However, by the time help reached him, the victim had already submerged. He was brought to shore for first aid and then transferred to a hospital, but tragically, he did not survive.
The Phan Thiet - Mui Ne coastal area has recently experienced continuous large waves, measuring 3-4 meters high, and strong water surges. These dangerous conditions are attributed to the impact of Typhoon Koto, which has also damaged several sections of the embankment. Consequently, swimming and coastal tourism activities have been deemed hazardous, with warnings issued to the public.
The victim's body was preserved for investigation and processing, in accordance with regulations concerning foreign nationals who die in Vietnam.
