The dismantling of a more than 9 m tall "goddess of liberation" statue and associated structures at the E.City Tan Duc urban area in Duc Hoa commune concluded on 29/6. Tan Tao Investment and Industry Joint Stock Company, the developer, completed the two-day operation. Authorities cited the project's construction on land designated for traffic infrastructure, violating approved urban and construction planning. The statue has been moved to storage, while officials continue to oversee the removal of remaining unauthorized components. The developer agreed to dismantle all violating structures after being fined.

Construction of the structure, which included the 9,1 m tall statue atop a 14 m, four-story technical building, began approximately two months prior. The facility occupied a plot spanning over 900 m2 with a total floor area of nearly 150 m2. In late 4, following an inspection, the Duc Hoa People's Committee ordered the developer to halt construction and provide legal documents for review. Two days prior to the dismantling, the Economic Department of the commune's People's Committee conducted another inspection, finding the exterior of the project completed.
