Early morning saw the military and police forces conduct a joint rehearsal after a period of individual and group training. The parade will consist of 43 marching formations and 18 stationary formations, with over 15,600 personnel.
For the first time in 40 years, since the National Day on 2/9/1985, military artillery and specialized police vehicles will be featured in the parade.

Following the marching formations, the artillery vehicles will proceed along the parade route. Leading the way will be the armored tanks, a force with a rich history of victories, from the battles of Ta May and Lang Vay to the campaigns in Chum, Route 9 South Laos, and the Central Highlands.
During the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, armored tanks spearheaded the five-pronged attack. The image of tanks numbered 843 and 390 crashing through the gates and raising the liberation flag atop the Independence Palace on the afternoon of 30/4/1975 has become an iconic symbol.
