Tuy An Bac commune police collaborated with the communal Military Command to secure the site. Upon inspection, authorities identified the objects as three M72 anti-tank weapons. The weapons were subsequently collected and handled according to regulations.
The M72 LAW (Light Anti-tank Weapon) is a US-designed, single-use weapon, approximately 1 m long, weighing 2.5 kg, with a maximum range of 500 m, firing 66 mm rockets. After firing, the launcher tube must be replaced.
