Around 11:00 on 16/9, Dzung Tien Commune Police successfully extracted Ha Cong Tu, 40, Quach Cong Quyet, and Nguyen Van Hung, both 44, from Rut Cave in Dong Tien valley, Dzung Tien commune, Phu Tho province. All three were safe, underwent health checks, and were reported to be in stable condition.

The incident began around 9:00 on 14/9 when the three men entered Dong Tien valley and proceeded to explore Rut Cave. This area features complex cave systems, with an initial narrow entrance only allowing one person to pass, but opening into a wider space deeper inside. While they were exploring, heavy rainfall caused water to accumulate at the cave's entrance, submerging their exit path.

Their families, concerned by their failure to return by 9:00 on 16/9, initiated a search and alerted local authorities. The Dzung Tien Commune People's Committee immediately instructed the commune police to launch a search operation. The commune police mobilized all available personnel, coordinating with local security forces and residents to reach Rut Cave.

After surveying the terrain and water levels, rescue teams lowered ropes into the cave. They located the trapped individuals and systematically brought them out one by one.

Dzung Tien Commune Police issued a warning, urging residents to exercise caution when entering caves, especially during periods of heavy rain. They highlighted the risk of sudden rising water and flash floods cutting off exit routes.
