Around 3 p.m. on 26/4, Hoang Gia Bao, 10 years old, residing in Son Binh village, Phong Tho commune, was electrocuted while playing at a water festival. The incident occurred due to an exposed power cord from a car wash machine.
Upon discovering the incident, the Task Force of Road Traffic Police Team number 1 (CSGT) from Lai Chau Provincial Police, on duty to ensure traffic safety at the festival, immediately responded.
At that moment, the child was in critical condition. First Lieutenant Truong Van Tuyen personally carried the child from the scene to an open area, performing on-site first aid measures like chest compressions to maintain the victim's heartbeat.
Police then used a specialized vehicle, activating emergency sirens, to transport the child to Phong Tho Commune Health Station, and subsequently to Phong Tho Medical Center for intensive emergency care.
