Traffic in TP HCM chaotic after heavy rain

Vehicles were gridlocked for kilometers on many routes leading to central TP HCM after heavy rain on the morning of 30/9.

Ho Chi Minh City experienced severe traffic chaos on the morning of 30/9 following heavy rainfall during peak commuting hours. The downpour resulted in extensive gridlock, with vehicles backing up for kilometers on several key routes leading into the city center, causing significant disruption for thousands of daily commuters.

Vehicles were bumper-to-bumper, stretching for over one kilometer on Nguyen Huu Canh street at the section intersecting Thu Thiem bridge, heading towards central TP HCM, on the morning of 30/9.

Motorbikes squeezed through lines of cars on Nguyen Huu Canh street.

Heavy rain during the morning rush hour caused prolonged congestion on the route connecting Thu Duc area to central TP HCM. Traffic was dense on Dinh Bo Linh street from Binh Trieu bridge to Bach Dang intersection.
