The Traffic Police Department (under the Ministry of Public Security) recently announced a traffic management plan, including restrictions for vehicles traveling towards Hanoi for the A80 celebrations.
The restrictions for vehicles heading to Hanoi will be in effect from 3 p.m. on 21/8 to 5 a.m. on 22/8; from 3 p.m. on 24/8 to 5 a.m. on 25/8; from 3 p.m. on 27/8 to 5 a.m. on 28/8; from 4 p.m. on 29/8 to 5 p.m. on 30/8; and from 4 p.m. on 1/9 to 5 p.m. on 2/9.
The restrictions apply to trucks weighing 10 tons and above and buses with 45 seats or more.

The affected highways include: the Hanoi - Ninh Binh highway from the Thuong Tin intersection (Km 192+300, Hong Van commune, Hanoi), the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway from the Yen My intersection (Km 21+500), the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway from the Van Xuan intersection (intersecting with National Road 3 at Km 40+700) to the intersection with National Road 18 (Yen Phong commune, Bac Ninh province), and the Hanoi - Lao Cai highway from the Binh Xuyen - IC3 intersection (CT05 intersection with provincial road 310B in Binh Xuyen commune, Phu Tho province).
The affected national roads include: National Road 1 from the Phan Trong Tue intersection (provincial road 70A) to Ngoc Hoi (National Road 1), and National Road 1 from the intersection with the Hanoi - Bac Giang highway to the intersection with the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway (Km 152+600 of National Road 1).
Other affected roads include: National Road 2 from its intersection with Vo Van Kiet road; National Road 3 from the Mounted Police Regiment (Ba Xuyen ward, Thai Nguyen province) to the Cach Mang Thang Tam intersection; National Road 3 from the Nam Tien intersection (Km 46+650) intersecting with Tran Nguyen Han road (Van Xuan ward, Thai Nguyen province) to the Van Xuan intersection.
Traffic restrictions also apply to National Road 5 from the Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Van Cu underpass intersection; National Road 6 from its intersection with the Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh road (Km 65+100); National Road 21A from its intersection with National Road 32 to the Cho Ben intersection; and National Road 18 at its intersection with the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway (Yen Phong commune, Bac Ninh province).
On 2/9, Vietnam will hold a celebration and parade in Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. The parade will feature a full contingent of forces, including ground troops, motorized units, air and naval forces. Nearly 16,000 people will participate in the parade, comprising 43 marching blocks, 18 stationary blocks, and 14 blocks of military and special forces vehicles and artillery.
