Around 3 PM, Vu Hoai Thuong, 32, from Can Tho City, was driving a tractor-trailer loaded with durian on National Highway 19 from Hra commune towards Dak Po commune. Upon reaching Mang Yang pass, his vehicle collided with a cassava truck traveling in the same direction.

The accident caused both trucks to overturn, blocking the road and scattering agricultural produce, resulting in a lengthy traffic jam. The tractor-trailer caught fire. There were no reported injuries. It was raining at the time of the incident.
The An Khe Regional Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police) arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. Authorities then removed the vehicles and cleared the scene.

Mang Yang pass is about 5 km long, part of National Highway 19, at an altitude of nearly 800 m. In the Jarai language, Mang Yang means “heaven’s gate.” The pass has many winding curves.
