Around 7 am, during light rain, a tractor-trailer traveling on National Highway 6 suddenly struck a mountain cliff in Chieng Hac commune, Son La province. The driver managed to escape immediately before the cabin caught fire, with flames engulfing the vehicle within minutes.

Many passersby attempted to assist, but the fire intensified rapidly. The Son La Provincial Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police quickly deployed specialized vehicles and personnel to extinguish the blaze.
After about 30 minutes, firefighters brought the fire under control, but the vehicle was reduced to a burnt-out shell. A leader from the Chieng Hac Communal People's Committee confirmed that there were no human casualties and the truck was not carrying any goods.

The incident caused traffic congestion for approximately 2 km on National Highway 6 through Chieng Hac commune, Son La province, lasting for one hour. Traffic is now moving slowly.
