Two consecutive accidents at the same location

Fifteen minutes after a collision between a motorbike and a three-wheeled vehicle, a truck struck an 8-seater car at the same location, resulting in one fatality and several injuries on 28/7.

At approximately 5 a.m., Nguyen Thi My Trinh, 40, a resident of Vinh My commune, was riding her motorbike on National Highway 1 in the Can Tho - Ca Mau direction. Upon reaching a section within Hamlet 3, Lang Tron ward, her motorbike collided with a three-wheeled vehicle driven by Danh Minh Khang, 22, a resident of the same hamlet. Both individuals sustained minor injuries.

About 15 minutes later, before the scene of the initial accident could be cleared, a truck driven by Huynh Quoc Minh, 30, a resident of Hamlet 2, Lang Tron ward, carrying two men, crashed into Trinh's motorbike, which was still lying on the road. The truck then veered into the opposite lane and collided with an 8-seater car driven by Huynh Van Nhanh, 41, a resident of Hamlet 2, Gia Rai ward, who was carrying three passengers.

A 79-year-old man in the 8-seater car died in the accident. The other individuals involved suffered minor injuries and were taken to a medical facility for treatment. Both the truck and the car were damaged.

Local police are investigating the cause of the accidents.
