On 20/5, Ho Phuc Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, on behalf of the Central Youth Union, presented the badge to Tuan Anh, a 10th grade student, and Huy, a 12th grade student, from Tan Ky 3 High School.

"The actions of these two young men are a vivid testament to the pioneering and courageous spirit of Nghe An's youth, contributing to the spread of good values in the community", said Ho Phuc Hai.
Around 6h45 on 25/4, Tuan Anh and Huy were crossing the suspension bridge connecting Nghia Hanh and Tan An communes (formerly part of Tan Ky district) when they saw a female student from their school jump into the river. They quickly identified her location, found a suitable spot, then jumped into the water and swam about 15 m from the bank to reach the victim.

As the water was over 2 m deep, the victim panicked and struggled continuously, making the rescue difficult. The two male students worked together to hold and calm her, then guided her to the bank after a few minutes. Locals assisted in taking the female student to emergency care, where she recovered from the danger.
"At that moment, I didn't have much time to think; I just yelled for help and called Huy, who was nearby, to jump in. The goal was to reach her as quickly as possible", Tuan Anh recounted.

The "Brave Youth" badge aims to honor teenagers who perform courageous acts, ready to face danger to save lives, protect property, and serve community interests. This award is for individuals with outstanding actions that have clear social significance; in many cases, it is posthumously awarded to spread a spirit of beautiful living and dedication among young people.
