Vietnam Airlines adjusts flight routes to Taiwan

From 7h to 17h on 30/12, Vietnam Airlines flights to and from Taiwan (China) and the Northeast Asia region will have their routes adjusted to avoid restricted airspace.

Following an announcement from authorities regarding temporary airspace restrictions in parts of Taiwan (China) on 30/12, Vietnam Airlines stated it proactively implemented flight route adjustments to ensure operational safety.

Consequently, flights passing through Taiwan and Northeast Asia may experience an additional 15-30 minutes of flight time. To accommodate this extended duration, the airline prepared additional fuel. Therefore, some flights may need to limit their payload capacity, potentially reducing checked baggage or passenger numbers.

The airline will continue to closely monitor the situation, coordinating with authorities to promptly update operational plans and inform passengers. The national airline also advises passengers planning to travel to or from Taiwan (China), or on flights through the Northeast Asia region during this period, to regularly monitor and update their flight information.
