Vietnam brings radar, UAVs, and modern equipment to Turkey defense exhibition

Units and corporations under the Ministry of National Defense are showcasing dozens of modern equipment, including radar, electronic warfare systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), optoelectronics, and military communication devices, at the SAHA 2026 Exhibition in Turkey.

On 5/5, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Deputy Minister of National Defense, led the Vietnamese delegation to the SAHA 2026 Defense and Aerospace Exhibition in Istanbul.

SAHA, held biennially since 2018, stands as one of the largest international exhibitions in defense, aerospace, and space technology. This year, the event attracts over 1,700 businesses from 120 countries, including defense corporations, government agencies, military bodies, and research centers.

At Vietnam's exhibition area, Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group is introducing 73 high-tech products across 8 fields: radar, electronic warfare equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, optoelectronics, military communication, command and control systems, simulation, and private 5G networks.

These products underscore Vietnam's commitment to developing a comprehensive defense technology ecosystem and its mastery of core technologies. Participating units are also seeking opportunities for co-development, technology integration, and engagement in large-scale programs with international partners.

This year's SAHA exhibition features over 300 new defense technology products and solutions, such as: armored vehicles, artillery systems, combat robots, and battlefield automation technology.

Aerospace, naval, and space technology sectors are also on display, showcasing: military aircraft, helicopters, warships, submarines, radar systems, sonar, satellites, and control systems. New technologies like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and unmanned systems remain key highlights.

Ministry of National Defense leaders stated that participation in SAHA 2026 aims to strengthen international defense integration and foster defense industry cooperation, promoting self-reliance, modernization, and dual-use capabilities.

The exhibition serves as a platform for Vietnam to showcase its defense industry capabilities, exchange organizational experience, and prepare for the 3rd Vietnam International Defense Expo, scheduled for 12/2026.
