This is one of the outcomes of the working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
In a meeting on 25/7 with the chairman of ABI Group (specializing in scientific equipment import), Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien praised the cooperative efforts between Viettel and ABI. Most notably, ABI signed a contract with Viettel Solutions Corporation (Viettel VTS) to provide a road traffic and vehicle security monitoring system for the Dubai Police. Details of the contract have yet to be released.

Viettel affirmed its readiness to provide products and solutions tailored to ABI's needs. In return, the UAE corporation committed to expanding cooperation, aiming to broaden the presence of Viettel's high-tech products and services in the UAE and Middle Eastern markets.
The same day, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense delegation visited EDGE Group, a defense industry corporation. Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien commended EDGE Group's capabilities and impressive advancements in technology and products, proposing active collaboration, technology transfer, and experience exchange between the two sides.
EDGE Group representatives expressed their hope that Vietnam would share its capabilities and specific needs to facilitate more substantial cooperation. The company is prepared to welcome Vietnamese delegations for visits, experience sharing, and future collaboration opportunities.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien met with Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi, UAE Undersecretary of Defense. Chien emphasized that this first visit by Vietnamese defense leadership to the UAE lays a crucial foundation and direction for future defense cooperation between the two nations.
Vietnamese defense leaders expressed their desire to further bilateral defense cooperation, focusing on defense industry collaboration, training, peacekeeping, maritime security, military medicine, and logistics.
Concluding the meeting, the two sides signed a letter of intent on defense cooperation, marking a concrete step toward strengthening bilateral collaboration in line with the shared understanding between the two countries' leadership.
