Passengers were subsequently taken to the terminal.
Vietnam Airlines is coordinating with authorities and relevant units to determine the specific cause of the incident. The airline is also implementing support plans and arranging onward travel for affected passengers. According to initial information from the European aviation website Airlive, when the Boeing 787-9 took off, it left the ground accompanied by a large dust cloud near the end of the runway. The aircraft may have collided with some equipment at the runway's end, potentially causing damage to the landing gear or fuselage.
Following the incident, the crew climbed to 9,000 feet and circled near Munich. As the aircraft was fully fueled for a long-haul intercontinental flight to Southeast Asia, it exceeded the maximum permissible landing weight. This necessitated circling to dump fuel before an emergency landing.
The circling also allowed the crew and ground staff to assess potential damage to the landing gear, tires, or tail structure before returning to land.

Upon landing, contact with the runway resulted in tire damage, creating smoke.
