Police arrived at the scene and cordoned off surrounding roads to investigate. A resident's camera, located about 50 meters away, recorded the large explosion and the shaking of corrugated iron walls from the blast's impact.

According to residents living near the scene, the victim worked freelance after completing 12th grade. A gas cylinder inside the house remained intact.

A resident's camera near the exploded house recorded a loud sound and shaking walls at the time of the incident.

A representative from the Nhuan Duc Commune People's Committee stated that only the victim was inside the house when the incident occurred.
