Coach Anthony Hudson participated in a press conference at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) headquarters at 11h on 25/8.
Thailand faces a significant challenge in the upcoming match, having lost the first leg of the final 0-2 to Vietnam at Rajamangala stadium on 22/8. Goals from Nguyen Hai Long and Nguyen Quang Hai secured Vietnam's lead. To claim the championship, Thailand must win by a three-goal margin in the second leg, or by a two-goal margin to force extra time.
The last time Thailand defeated Vietnam at My Dinh stadium was in 9/2024, securing a 2-1 victory in a friendly match. This defeat also marked Vietnam's most recent loss under coach Kim Sang-sik, who has since guided the team to an impressive 25-match unbeaten streak.
