Camping accommodation for runners at VM Green Paradise Can Gio

The organizers have arranged an outdoor camping area with 200 tent spots to support runners resting before race day.

To support athletes participating in the VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio 2026, the organizers have introduced an exclusive outdoor camping area for runners. This basic, economical, and convenient accommodation option allows participants to rest near the race area, ensuring they are ready for the start.

The camping area is set up at two main locations, offering a total of 200 tent spots. One hundred twenty spots are available at the Can Gio Commune Public Service Center, on Dao Cu street, Mieu Ba hamlet. Additionally, the organizers have prepared 80 spots at the Can Gio Commune Youth House, located at 158 Le Hung Yen. Both sites offer convenient access to the race venue, ideal for runners prioritizing rest before the race.

The camping area will be open from 12:00 on 30/4 until 12:00 on 1/5. Runners can check in during this period to settle into their accommodations, prepare their gear, and acclimate to the weather conditions before race day.

Organizers remind athletes to bring their own tents and personal items, such as mats, sleeping bags, and toiletries. While public restrooms are available at the camping sites, showers are not provided. At the Youth House location, runners are not permitted to pitch tents on the artificial turf to protect the facilities.

Each athlete is allowed to register for one tent and must present their race information upon check-in. This rule ensures the camping area exclusively serves registered participants. The organizers also encourage runners to maintain general hygiene and collect their trash after use to ensure a clean environment.

According to the organizers, the outdoor camping model offers athletes more flexibility in their schedules and fosters interaction within the running community before the race. The natural setting of Can Gio is also expected to provide a unique experience, adding to the excitement of this year's event.

The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio takes place on 1/5. Beyond the race, runners can visit the Rung Sac Guerilla Base, a historical site linked to the Rung Sac special forces during the resistance war and a prominent historical landmark in Can Gio. Coinciding with the 30/4 and 1/5 holidays, the journey to the race thus extends beyond sporting significance, becoming a trip rich in history, nature, and local experiences.

The long holiday period also provides runners with opportunities for multi-experience tourism. Athletes can combine their run with local exploration through various activities, such as: river tours, mangrove forest visits, boating, trips to Monkey Island, and discovering the Vam Sat Ecological Tourist Area, home to many wild birds like storks and night herons. They can also experience community tourism in Thieng Lieng and Thanh An.

The VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio, held on 1/5, is expected to attract 5,000 athletes and will feature various festival and culinary activities. Runners will experience the greenest route in the VnExpress Marathon system, with a path that goes "through forest, by sea". The event is organized by VnExpress newspaper, FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with Vinhomes Green Paradise.

Vinhomes Green Paradise spans 2,870 ha and is planned as an international coastal urban area—ecological, smart, and multi-functional—adhering to ESG++ standards. This urban area integrates residential, accommodation, commercial, tourism, medical, and educational spaces. It is also an ideal environment for running enthusiasts and is expected to become a new tourism icon, attracting 40 million visitors annually.
