Elderly man takes pet cats across Japan to see flowers

From poppy fields to wisteria and hydrangea gardens, Chouchou and Miko regularly accompany their owner on trips across Japan for photo opportunities.

Chouchou and Miko visited Fujiyama Park in Imabari city, Ehime province, as the cherry blossom season was ending.

The Japanese man behind the "catwolf0314" social media account has garnered significant attention for his travel photos with two cats, Chouchou and Miko. He frequently takes his beloved pets to various attractions and seasonal flower fields across Japan, capturing photos and documenting their journeys on social media. His online diary features over 6,000 posts and has attracted nearly 170,000 followers.

The two cats were taken by their owner to Shiudeyama, a mountain 352 meters high on the Shōnai peninsula, Mitoyo city, Kagawa province. This location is a popular spot for viewing hydrangeas, with thousands of bushes blooming in the summer.

The account owner, who remains anonymous, has only shared information about his two cats: Chouchou, a fluffy white cat with a black tail, adopted in 2021, and Miko, a gray cat, adopted in 2024. Prior to these two, the owner regularly posted photos of a cat named Wolf, who passed away in 2020.

Chouchou and Miko are often taken by their owner to flower gardens throughout Japan, ranging from cherry blossom and sunflower fields to centuries-old wisteria gardens.

Before each trip, the owner prepares various items for the two cats, including outfits, collars, floral wreaths, as well as a stroller, a car bed, and photo chairs.

The owner often uses a private car to take Chouchou and Miko on outings, ensuring a designated sleeping area and necessary supplies for the cats to rest during the journey.

Moments that have captured followers' attention include when the two cats unexpectedly fought during a photoshoot, while their owner calmly observed, waiting for them to settle down before resuming filming. These posts consistently attract thousands of interactions.
