Tourists seek fireworks tickets for DIFF Germany and Macau showdown

The fourth night of DIFF 2026 has drawn significant interest as the Germany and Macau (China) teams face off for the first time, leading to an early surge in demand for grandstand tickets ahead of the "Creativity" themed performance on the evening of 20/6.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, organized by Sun Group in partnership with the city, is approaching its halfway mark. The focus of the qualifying rounds is now on the unprecedented competition between Josef Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerk GmbH (Germany) and Apple Pyrotechnics Co., Ltd (Macau, China).

On various social media groups, many spectators are actively searching for tickets for the fourth competition night. Viewers primarily seek tickets for grandstand A or A VIP for optimal viewing and reasonable prices. According to the ticketing agent, demand for grandstand seats increased early as visitors sought to fully enjoy the artistic performances on stage and a direct view of the high-altitude fireworks display. Minh Tuan, a visitor from Hue, shared that after the opening night, he learned to book grandstand tickets for the Germany-Macau night to ensure a comfortable seat and clearly observe any surprises from the two new competing teams.

To assist visitors, the organizers are offering promotional policies for tickets purchased on the website or Sun Paradise Land application. Buyers currently receive a 20% discount on ticket prices, plus an additional 10% discount (up to 500,000 dong) when paying with a Visa card. According to the organizers, booking early through online platforms not only helps visitors save costs but also secures good seating amidst the growing appeal of DIFF 2026.

The fourth night's matchup holds special appeal due to its "mystery" factor. Unlike teams such as Italy or France, who boast a long history of achievements at the Han River arena, both Germany and Macau bring novelty and unpredictability.

The German representative, Josef Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerk GmbH, established in the 19th century, is known for its precise, structured, and creative performance style. This team has won the Philippines International Pyromusical Competition two times, in 2018 and 2024. With display artistry likened to a "conductor" in the sky, the German team promises a technically rich and logical fireworks script.

Their opponent, Apple Pyrotechnics Co., Ltd from Macau (China), carries the prestige of consecutive championships in Asian arenas. In the past three years alone, the team has consistently secured first place at the Liuyang International Fireworks Conference 2023, Macau International Fireworks Display Contest 2024, and Zhuhai Chimelong International Fireworks Competition 2025. Macau's style leans towards energy, speed, and strong visual effects. Their performances often feature rapid pacing with multiple layers of consecutive effects, creating powerful climaxes and promising an overwhelming experience for grandstand spectators.

The "Creativity" theme is an ideal stage for both Germany's precise style and Macau's explosive approach to showcase their strengths. The difference in the artistic vision of the two teams makes the outcome of the competition difficult to predict, sparking curiosity among fireworks enthusiasts.

In addition to the light shows, DIFF 2026 also marks a milestone by integrating AI into the fireworks viewing experience for visitors. Through the Sun Paradise Land application, visitors can create "digital gifts" such as e-stamps or e-postcards with personal messages directly from the grandstand. AI technology helps spectators preserve memorable moments in a modern and private way.

The fourth competition night also coincides with Da Nang entering its peak summer tourism season. With favorable weather for beach resorts and sightseeing activities, the city has witnessed a large influx of tourists to famous destinations such as My Khe, Ba Na Hills, and Son Tra Peninsula. Therefore, DIFF 2026 is seen as a "magnet" attracting visitors in the evenings. Combining a daytime beach vacation with an international fireworks display at night has become a priority itinerary for many families, ensuring that competition nights always reach maximum capacity.

"The fact that visitors are seeking tickets for the fourth competition night not only confirms the appeal of the Germany and Macau teams but also demonstrates DIFF's position as an international tourism product, helping to illuminate Da Nang's destination brand on the global festival map," a Sun Group representative shared.
