An American influencer, Ashley St. Clair, warned about Elon Musk's significant influence, stating he is intentionally sowing division through the X social media platform. Speaking at the 8/9 premiere of the documentary "Musk" by director Alex Gibney at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, St. Clair cautioned that his actions "could lead to disaster if unchecked".
She emphasized the gravity of his actions on X, stating, "Whatever it is, what he is doing with the X platform cannot be ignored, because he is fanning flames that do not exist in real life". Since acquiring Twitter in 2022 and rebranding it as X, Musk has used the platform to amplify his political views. He has frequently criticized European immigration policies and expressed support for far-right movements.
Earlier this week, the billionaire congratulated a German far-right party, Alternative for Germany (AfD), on their positive results in a state election in Saxony-Anhalt. "Alternative for Germany (AfD)," Musk wrote. "Well done!"

St. Clair, a former key opinion leader for the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, shared that Musk previously messaged her, expressing a desire to have children because he needed "an army of children before a civil war occurs". Musk has at least 14 children with four women. The two had a son in 2024 but have since separated.
In January, Musk announced he was initiating legal proceedings to gain custody of their son from St. Clair, following statements she made implying she might transition the boy's gender. St. Clair claimed Musk offered her a one-time payment of 40 million USD along with a monthly allowance of 100,000 USD in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement, an offer he later withdrew after she refused.

Musk had previously expressed "uncertainty" about whether the child was his, but stated he was still providing child support, having given St. Clair 2,5 million USD and an annual support of 500,000 USD. Conversely, St. Clair asserts that Musk "refused" a DNA test and has not sent any child support.
