South Yorkshire Police in northern England reported on 10/10 that a man had entered the tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, near Doncaster.
"The tiger subsequently attacked and inflicted serious injuries on the man", police stated. "Emergency services responded to the scene. Despite the efforts of medical staff, the man died there."
Yorkshire Wildlife Park confirmed a serious incident occurred in the tiger enclosure, leading to the evacuation of all visitors. The park closed after the event until the end of 11/10.

Local officials confirmed the tiger was unharmed, remained within its enclosure, and posed no threat to public safety. A police spokesperson urged the public to refrain from sharing graphic images of the attack.
The "Land of the Tigers" visitor area at Yorkshire Wildlife Park features a 300-meter elevated walkway, allowing guests to observe the resident Amur tigers.
Amur tigers, also known as Siberian tigers, primarily inhabit the Sikhote-Alin mountain range in Russia's eastern Primorsky region. Males typically weigh 170-220 kilograms, while females average 117 kilograms. Approximately 500 Amur tigers remain in the wild, classified as endangered.
