The incident occurred when a car, after signaling, abruptly turned left from the roadside to navigate a roundabout. Simultaneously, two women on a motorbike were approaching the roundabout, riding close to its edge. A collision ensued, throwing both women onto the road. The motorbike driver was not wearing a helmet; however, both individuals were fortunate enough to stand up on their own after the impact.

Driving skills: Vehicles entering a roundabout must reduce speed, observe both sides carefully, and adhere to the rule of yielding to traffic approaching from the left within the roundabout. For cars, even with a turn signal, avoid sudden turns from the roadside. When cornering or navigating a roundabout, the A-pillar can obstruct visibility. Always keep your foot ready on the brake to handle unexpected situations involving motorbikes.

Decree 168/2024 stipulates that a car driver who causes a traffic accident by turning without proper observation will face a fine of 20-22 million VND and a deduction of 10 points from their driving license.

Additionally, motorbike riders are required to wear helmets, which serve as the final protection for the head in a collision. Decree 168/2024 mandates a fine of 600,000-800,000 VND for individuals not wearing a helmet.
