Honda's cheapest electric vehicle features a boost button like a sports car

The Honda Super-N accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 14,5 seconds, but a boost button helps the compact electric hatchback shorten that time to 10 seconds.

In normal driving mode, the compact e-Axle system produces 63 horsepower, but pressing the boost button instantly increases power to 94 horsepower, reducing the acceleration time by 4 seconds.

Weighing just 1.097 kg, this mode offers a powerful sensation during acceleration from a standstill in urban traffic. Honda even added a simulated 7-speed gearbox and artificial engine sounds. This technology has appeared on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, and even Porsche has adopted the trend with its updated Taycan.

It measures 3.599 mm in length and 1.573 mm in width.

A compact 29,6 kWh battery provides a WLTP-combined range of 206 km.

The infotainment system supports CarPlay/Android Auto and is connected to a standard Bose sound system.

The Super-N's range positions it as a natural fit for urban environments. Its compact 29,6 kWh battery offers a WLTP-combined range of 206 km, though Honda states that city driving can extend this to 320 km. Fast charging to 80% takes approximately 30 minutes.

Measuring just 3.599 mm long and 1.573 mm wide, Honda asserts the Super-N can comfortably accommodate four adults, showcasing the brand's renowned interior design ingenuity. The Super-N features the same folding rear seat design that made the Honda Jazz far more practical than the Ford Fiesta in 2001.

While buying a used kei-car outside Japan is not difficult, acquiring a new one in the West from an official dealer has been nearly impossible for the past 20 years. Honda addresses this challenge this summer with the Super-N's European debut, offering an attractive price and a full manufacturer's warranty.

In the UK, prices start from just 18.995 GBP (25.100 USD), making it Honda's most affordable electric vehicle in Europe and one of the cheapest EVs currently available in the UK.

At this price point, the Super-N will be less expensive than rivals like the Renault Twingo E-Tech (20.000 GBP) and only 345 GBP more than BYD's standard Dolphin Surf model.

Other notable features of the Super-N include an infotainment system supporting CarPlay/Android Auto, connected to a standard Bose sound system. Honda also plans to offer various exterior trim packages to help this compact car stand out.
