Lexus has introduced the 8th generation ES sedan to its domestic market, following its earlier launch in the US and Europe. The hybrid and electric powertrains remain unchanged, but Japanese buyers can choose from a wider range of accessories, including bodykits and interior lighting.
For this new generation, Lexus has created a more distinctive ES, with its most unconventional feature being a deodorizing footrest. Priced at 46,200 yen (290 USD), this accessory is designed for drivers and passengers who frequently experience foot odor issues. The Japanese automaker has not yet specified the exact mechanism of the deodorizing function.

Beyond this feature, other highlights in the official options catalog include a genuine aerodynamic accessory kit. This kit lowers the car's ride height and improves aerodynamics, featuring a front splitter, side skirts, and rear bumper extensions finished in gloss black. The package also includes fin-shaped vortex generators on each D-pillar, which Lexus states help stabilize vertical airflows along the rear body to enhance stability and steering response.
For customers seeking further differentiation, the Modellista styling package adds body-colored details, reducing ground clearance by 26 mm. Illuminated side skirts are integrated with mirror caps featuring shark fins. Completing the package are 21-inch forged aluminum wheels in a dark metallic finish.
While Japanese customers have a full range of exterior options, US buyers currently can only select black badges, wheel locks, and paint protection film. Another distinction between the two markets is the variety of lighting accessories available.
The ES version for the Japanese market can be equipped with a welcome light system, which projects the Lexus emblem onto the ground in front of the car. This combines with side lights to create geometric patterns along the vehicle's body.

The accessory list also features illuminated door sills, trunk sill protectors, and Lexus-branded puddle lights. Customers desiring more can add illuminated cup holders and door pockets in various colors.
Other interior accessories include headrest cushions, seat-back storage bags with tablet holders, and premium floor and trunk mats. The product line also offers the ES350e Rr Comfort package, equivalent to the Executive package for the US market, targeting owners who prefer sitting in the rear seats. Lexus has also enhanced anti-theft measures with physical locks for the wheels and steering wheel.
Regarding upgrade options, the genuine Lexus aerodynamic accessory kit costs 293,700 yen (1,800 USD), aerodynamic stabilizing fins are 22,000 yen (140 USD), and the Modellista package is 642,400 yen (4,000 USD), with the 21-inch wheels adding 964,700 yen (6,000 USD). Welcome lights are priced at 55,000 yen (340 USD) for the grille and 83,600 yen (520 USD) for the side.
The Lexus ES in Japan starts at 7,900,000 yen (49,200 USD) for the front-wheel drive ES350h hybrid variant. The top-tier models include the front-wheel drive ES350e electric variant with the Rr Comfort package and the ES500e AWD Version L variant, both priced at 9,200,000 yen (57,300 USD). Vehicle prices for the US market are slightly higher, ranging from 51,095 USD to 60,295 USD depending on the version.
