The Vietnamese automotive market has seen regular price reductions and promotions in recent months, with vehicles across all segments being sold below suggested retail prices to stimulate consumer demand. Following this trend, Mitsubishi is offering significant promotions across its product lineup in June, with all models priced tens of millions of dong lower than their suggested retail prices.
Leading Mitsubishi's promotional efforts is its best-selling model, the Xpander. Depending on the version, buyers can receive discounts of 67-85 million dong, bringing dealership prices down to 501-619 million dong. The Xpander faces direct competition from the Toyota Avanza and Veloz duo, which currently offer 65-75 million dong in reductions.
These promotions primarily come as cash discounts, as detailed in the table below, and may include additional accessories or physical damage insurance packages. This strategy is widely adopted by many other manufacturers in the market.

The Destinator, a C-segment CUV, which recently surpassed 7,000 units sold after six months on the market, continues to be offered with a 35 million dong discount for both its Premium and Ultimate versions. Similarly, the Xforce, a smaller high-ground-clearance vehicle, is available at dealerships for 560-665 million dong, reflecting a 45-55 million dong reduction from its listed price. Other models, including the Attrage B-segment sedan and the Triton small pickup truck, also feature promotions ranging from 43-56 million dong.
Beyond manufacturer incentives, individual dealerships also implement their own promotional programs to boost sales, a practice Mitsubishi and its network actively participate in. This competitive environment has contributed to Mitsubishi's positive sales performance. In the first four months of 2026, Mitsubishi sold 15,348 vehicles, marking an increase of 54% compared to the same period in 2025. This performance positioned the Japanese manufacturer 4th in the market, behind VinFast, Toyota, and Hyundai.
