Skoda will introduce the updated Slavia sedan on 6/10 in the Indian market. This marks the model's first major upgrade since its debut in India approximately four years ago. Production of the vehicle has already commenced at the company's plant in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra.
Customers can now pre-book the Skoda Slavia 2026 with a deposit of USD 150. The new version is expected to feature exterior design changes, additional convenience equipment, and notably, a new automatic gearbox option for the 1,0 TSI engine.
The Slavia 2027 is anticipated to retain its existing turbocharged gasoline engine options, with changes primarily focused on the drivetrain paired with the one-liter engine.
The three-cylinder, one-liter turbocharged gasoline engine produces 114 horsepower and 178 Nm of peak torque. This version will continue to use a six-speed manual gearbox, while the current six-speed automatic gearbox will be replaced by a new eight-speed automatic.

For the higher-end version, the four-cylinder, 1,5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering 148 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque, will continue to be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox.
The Slavia 2027 will receive styling modifications and additional technology features. Some new features are expected to be shared with its platform sibling, the Skoda Kushaq.
A notable highlight is the introduction of a 360-degree camera. Additionally, the sedan will be equipped with a massage function for the rear seats. Another potential addition is an artificial intelligence (AI) integrated virtual assistant, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud. However, detailed information about this feature and its availability across different versions has not yet been specifically announced.
The updated Slavia focuses on refreshing its equipment and powertrain while maintaining the gasoline engine options. The most significant mechanical change is the inclusion of an eight-speed automatic gearbox for the 1,0 TSI engine variant. Meanwhile, the 1,5 TSI version will continue with the seven-speed DSG gearbox.
Detailed information regarding pricing, technical specifications, and specific features for each version will be officially announced by Skoda at the launch event on 6/10.
