Toyota Innova Cross hybrid price cut by 45 million VND

The retail price of the Innova Cross HEV drops to 960 million VND, thanks to special consumption tax incentives for hybrid vehicles, effective from 10/2.

The hybrid (HEV) version of the Toyota Innova Cross now carries a new price of 960 million VND, marking a 45 million VND reduction from its previous cost. Pearl white variants incur an additional 8 million VND. This brings the Innova Cross's new price range to 730-960 million VND.

Toyota Vietnam states that the price adjustment for the Innova Cross HEV stems from government special consumption tax (TTDB) incentives for self-charging hybrid vehicles. Under Decree 360/2025, effective from 2026, self-charging hybrid models where gasoline constitutes no more than 70% of the total energy consumption qualify for a 30% reduction in special consumption tax, compared to internal combustion engine vehicles with similar engine displacement. The Innova Cross HEV fulfills these criteria.

Earlier, in late January, other Toyota hybrid models, including the Camry, Yaris Cross, Corolla Cross, and Alphard, also saw retail price reductions ranging from 37 million to 200 million VND for similar reasons. Toyota has not yet adjusted prices for the hybrid variants of the Altis and Camry HEV MID due to a temporary halt in supply.

The new selling prices for Toyota's hybrid models are as follows:

Model Price (million VND) Reduction (million VND)
Yaris Cross HEV 728 37
Corolla Cross HEV 865 40
Innova Cross HEV 920 45
Camry HEV TOP 1,460 70
Alphard HEV 4,415 200

* Unit: million VND. Prices effective from 20/1, with Innova Cross HEV from 10/2.

The Innova Cross HEV emerged as the best-selling hybrid vehicle in Vietnam's oto market in 2025, with 3,021 units sold. The hybrid variant accounted for approximately 37% of the total Innova Cross sales. The Toyota model competes against other mid-size MPVs such as the Hyundai Custin (priced from 820-974 million VND) and the VinFast VF MPV 7 (819 million VND).

Within its segment, the Innova Cross ranked second in sales, trailing only the VF MPV 7. However, when considering only internal combustion engine vehicles, the Toyota model was the top seller.

Toyota currently imports all Innova Cross versions from Indonesia. Beyond the Innova Cross, Toyota offers three other MPV models: the Veloz, Avanza, and Alphard. The company's total MPV sales in 2025 reached 18,125 vehicles, securing a 21.2% market share and placing Toyota third in the segment, behind VinFast and Mitsubishi.
