The car signaled its intention to merge and slowly moved from the roadside. As the car was nearly finished merging, a young man on a motorcycle, traveling in the same direction, sped from behind. The motorcyclist, failing to observe or react in time, collided forcefully with the driver's side door of the car. The motorcycle fell onto the road. After the impact, the young man stood up and retrieved his motorcycle.
This incident was largely due to the motorcyclist's lack of observation. When navigating urban roads, drivers must consistently observe their surroundings to anticipate vehicles signaling to enter or exit the roadside or change lanes. Consequently, when passing areas where vehicles are parked close to the curb, motorcyclists should reduce their speed and heighten their concentration.
