Becamex honored with 'leading Vietnamese brand footprint'

Becamex was honored with the "leading Vietnamese brand footprint" at Made by Vietnam Day 2026, recognizing its journey in developing an industrial ecosystem and its strategic direction to create new growth spaces.

A Becamex representative stated that industrial strength comes from a comprehensive ecosystem, not just factories. This ecosystem connects production infrastructure with urban areas, services, technology, and human resources. "The recognition at 'Made by Vietnam Day 2026' reflects this development orientation," the representative commented.

Building on this foundation, the corporation is adapting its development model to global supply chain changes. The "Made by Vietnam 2026" honor acknowledges past achievements and signals a focus on building a new industrial ecosystem. This new ecosystem rests on four pillars: science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green, sustainable development.

Becamex is developing existing industrial parks and new projects as smart industrial parks (smart IP) and science and technology industrial parks (science & tech IP). This approach connects investors with research institutes, universities, R&D centers, experts, and international technology corporations. Such connections foster research and production, attracting industries with high knowledge content, clean technology, and significant added value.

Established in 1976, Becamex has spent decades shaping an industrial-urban-service model. This model integrates production infrastructure with urban development and supporting services. Its ecosystem attracts foreign direct investment, technology, and skilled human resources. It also provides essential infrastructure: transportation, logistics, education, healthcare, social housing, and business services.

Starting in northern TP HCM, Becamex and its partners expanded this model to other localities. This expansion helped establish industrial parks, urban areas, and services, creating more development space for these regions.

As TP HCM enters a new development phase, it aims to reduce pressure on its core urban area and expand economic space. The industrial, urban, and service infrastructure developed by Becamex in the city's northern and adjacent areas offers additional capacity for production, business, and investment attraction.

The integrated model of industrial parks, urban areas, and service infrastructure allows Becamex to create a synchronized development space, meeting the needs of businesses and workers. This approach also positions northern TP HCM to attract new investment projects, particularly in high-tech manufacturing.

Global investors increasingly prioritize infrastructure quality, connectivity, and robust service ecosystems when choosing locations. Becamex's integrated development model provides a competitive advantage for the region. Expanding industrial space northward reduces pressure on TP HCM's core and unlocks growth potential for the city and the southern key economic region.

In the next phase, Becamex plans to align its development with TP HCM's economic expansion needs, emphasizing science and technology application and sustainable development.

The "leading brand footprint" award at Made by Vietnam 2026 recognizes Becamex's infrastructure development efforts. It also underscores the corporation's commitment to further building its industrial, urban, and service ecosystem, thereby expanding the development space of TP HCM and surrounding areas.

Made by Vietnam Day 2026 – leading Vietnamese brand footprint – is a program that honors and connects Vietnamese brands. HTV organizes it in collaboration with the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of TP HCM (ITPC) and the Institute for Development Studies of TP HCM (HIDS). Returning for the second time with the theme "unleash the flow – accelerate," this year's program highlights Vietnamese enterprises' innovation capacity, digital transformation, green development, and scalability in this new phase.
