Opened on 6/3, Galaxy CineX - Hanoi Centre is Galaxy Studio's first flagship cinema complex in Hanoi, marking a new step in its strategy to expand into the northern market and develop the premium cinema segment.
The complex began trial operations in late 2025, gradually improving based on audience feedback. After a period of observation, the company noted that the flagship model had a certain effectiveness, partly shaping a new cinematic space that serves both film-watching needs and acts as an experience destination.
"Over time, as audience entertainment habits change rapidly and the public has too many options, we increasingly believe that cinemas are not just places to watch movies but must also be attractive destinations," said Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, General Director of Galaxy Studio.
From this direction, immediately after the Covid-19 pandemic, Galaxy Studio launched its strategy to "elevate the cinema experience". Following the Galaxy Sala complex in TP HCM, Galaxy CineX - Hanoi Centre received investment and a synchronized design across technology, services, and emotional engagement, meeting the audience's growing expectations for overall viewing quality.

Located in central Hanoi, Galaxy CineX - Hanoi Centre was developed on the heritage site of Tien Bo Printing House, featuring design details inspired by printing activities and the dissemination of knowledge. This element enhances aesthetics and creates a distinct identity for the complex amidst increasing market competition for experiences.
According to a Galaxy Studio representative, the VIP Boulevard Lounge, CineMunch Eatery, and themed screening rooms play complementary roles, completing the audience's experience chain—from before, during, to after watching a film. This approach personalizes and caters to the needs of each age group.
Beyond its physical space, the company identifies technology as a crucial foundation. Galaxy CineX - Hanoi Centre leads in establishing new-generation cinema standards by equipping three projection and sound technologies: Imax with laser, Dolby Atmos, and Onyx cinema led, comparable to complexes in the US, Singapore, or South Korea.
A company representative stated that they received positive feedback regarding the Imax with laser screening room, particularly its high resolution, deep contrast, sharp images, and expanded viewing angles. Additionally, the Onyx x Dolby Atmos screening room, utilizing Samsung Onyx Cinema LED screens, helps improve color accuracy compared to traditional projectors. Combined with the Dolby Atmos system, it creates multidimensional, vivid sound that envelops the space.

Meanwhile, film industry experts believe that the investment in Galaxy CineX - Hanoi Centre reflects an ongoing trend of standardization within the cinema industry to meet the demands and tastes of modern audiences. With numerous film choices available, people prioritize higher-quality experiences for each cinema visit.
Given these realities and requirements, operators must upgrade technology and build a comprehensive experience ecosystem—encompassing space, services, and emotional engagement. In the long term, Galaxy Studio aims to bring advanced cinema technology and new experience models to audiences nationwide.

During the opening event in early March, Galaxy Studio leaders performed a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with Dolby Laboratories, with the expectation of deploying Dolby Vision technology combined with Dolby Atmos in Vietnam. This technology is anticipated to be first applied at the Galaxy CineX - AEON Thanh Khe cinema in Da Nang.
