According to Vietnam Electricity (EVN), some electricity customers have received messages from a sender named "EVN CSKH". These messages contain a fake 6-digit one-time password (OTP) and an unusual link that includes "evn" but with an unfamiliar domain.
EVN confirms that this is a new fraudulent scheme using fake OTP messages to deceive users and steal personal information, bank account details, and customer data.

Regarding the new EVN customer service (CSKH) application, which launched its trial on 15/6, an EVN representative stated that users will only receive OTP verification messages when logging in for the first time or authenticating a transaction within the EVN CSKH app. Real OTP messages do not include any accompanying links.
To ensure information security, EVN advises customers to be vigilant against these fake OTP message scams. Users should never click on suspicious links sent via text messages, email, social media, or messaging applications that claim to be from EVN.
Customers must not provide OTPs, passwords, bank account information, or personal data to any organization or individual impersonating electricity staff or EVN. It is recommended that customers only download the EVN CSKH application from official sources like Google Play and the App Store. Always carefully check the application name and publisher to avoid installing from unfamiliar or unverified links. Users can also scan QR codes to download the application from official app stores on iOS and Android.
If customers detect any suspicious or fraudulent messages, they should contact the Customer Care Center of their respective Power Corporations for support and information verification.
