FIFA is offering pieces of the 2026 World Cup final pitch at MetLife Stadium in the US for 450 USD each, and the unique souvenirs have already sold out on its online store. Each segment of the actual playing surface from the major tournament's culminating match in New Jersey will be permanently preserved in a high-grade acrylic block. Buyers also receive a USB containing a video that verifies the product's origin. Despite the 450 USD price, which translates to approximately 12 million dong, these mementos were quickly snapped up. FIFA has indicated that orders will be delivered only after the 2026 World Cup final concludes, with current shipping limited to the US, the UK, and European countries.

The collectibles are produced by Keep Stub, a UK company. Its website features three premium versions, priced at 920, 1.230, and 3.070 USD, respectively. Each of these limited editions comprises 2.026 products. If all are sold, Keep Stub could generate nearly 11,5 million USD.
The grass for the final pitch was sourced from a sod farm in North Carolina, US, and installed in early may. However, concerns about the playing surface have already emerged. From the group stages, many players and team coaches, including Germany's head coach Julian Nagelsmann, complained that the pitch was too dry, lacked grip, and made playing difficult.
MetLife Stadium, inaugurated in 2010 with a seating capacity of over 80.000, historically used artificial turf for matches involving its two resident NFL American football teams, the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
Beyond the sale of pitch grass, FIFA has also faced controversy regarding the high ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup. A standard ticket to the final costs up to 32.970 USD, while hospitality packages, which include food and beverages, are priced between 32.500 and 34.500 USD.
