A representative from Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietbank, VBB) stated that transferring its listing from UPCoM to HoSE demonstrates the bank's ability to meet listing standards. This move aims to enhance the bank's governance quality, increase transparency, and attract domestic and international institutional investors. Vietbank also anticipates that the HoSE listing will improve share liquidity and boost its capital mobilization capacity for long-term development strategies.

Specifically, nearly 1.08 billion VBB shares will begin trading on HoSE from 14/7, with a reference price of 13,300 dong per share. The expected fluctuation range for the initial trading day is 20%. Prior to this, VBB shares closed their last trading session on UPCoM at 13,700 dong per share, marking a 45% increase compared to early 2026 and a 58% rise from their mid-March low. Average daily liquidity on UPCoM exceeded 100,000 shares per session.
A bank representative added that this listing transfer coincides with Vietbank's plan to increase its charter capital, a strategy approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders. On 3/7, the bank completed the issuance of nearly 107,7 million shares to raise its charter capital from owner's equity to nearly 11,846 billion dong. This issuance concluded on 29/6, with shares expected to be transferred to shareholders in Q3/2026.

In phase two of its capital increase plan, Vietbank plans to offer approximately 296,14 million shares to existing shareholders. These shares will be priced at 10,000 dong per share, with a 25% ratio. The bank anticipates this phase will occur in Q3 and Q4/2026.
For phase three, the bank will issue 74 million shares under an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). This issuance represents 5% of outstanding shares after previous issuances, with an issue price of 10,000 dong per share. The bank expects this phase to take place from Q4/2026 to Q1/2027. ESOP shares will have a one-year transfer restriction.
