Organizers anticipate around 330 businesses will participate, occupying 590 booths. The exhibition will feature a wide range of product categories, including: fresh agricultural products, seafood, meat and dairy products, frozen and processed foods, canned goods, spices, confectionery, organic foods, vegetarian foods, coffee, tea, and beverages.
Beyond product displays, the show will facilitate one-on-one business matching programs connecting businesses with international buyers. It will also host specialized seminars and new product launches. This year's event offers networking opportunities with various Asian markets, particularly Vietnam.
Several product groups hold significant advantages for target markets. Prepared foods, such as rice and noodle products, vegetarian options, canned goods, and spices, offer convenience, appealing to young consumers and modern households. Simultaneously, fresh fruits, healthy foods, and products with clear origins address the growing consumer focus on food safety.
The Kaohsiung agricultural specialties zone will highlight diverse fresh tropical fruits and processed products, complete with origin certifications. Some exhibitors will also showcase vegetables grown in advanced plant factories, utilizing environmental control technology to enhance product quality and consistency.
Seafood represents another key category at the exhibition. According to organizers, frozen foods have consistently formed a large share of processed food imports into Southeast Asia from Taiwan over the past years. Participating associations and businesses will present products derived from tuna, squid, and saury, alongside dried seafood, seaweed, and canned seafood.

Advancements in preservation and cold chain technology across Southern Taiwan are expected to empower businesses to meet the stringent demands of modern retail systems, especially for products requiring extended shelf life. Taiwan's food industry also increasingly integrates technology into researching formulas, flavors, and product designs, moving beyond just quality and convenience.
New food lines specifically targeting young consumers, with an emphasis on novel experiences and innovation, are poised to create further market opportunities. This approach is particularly relevant for markets with young populations, such as Vietnam.
Ultimately, through its extensive exhibition and business networking activities, the Kaohsiung Food Show 2026 aims to expand trade and deepen the reach of Taiwanese food products to international buyers and partners.
