The DNSE Future Tech Summit, organized by DNSE Securities Company in Ho Chi Minh City on 22/11/2024, brought together over 200 investors and numerous financial and technology experts. The event focused on addressing market operation challenges as the implementation of T+0 (same-day settlement) and extended trading hours approach, while also providing investors with knowledge to adapt to a "zero-latency" trading environment. At the summit, Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of DNSE's Board of Directors, noted that the trend of intraday trading requires the market to meet three key elements: speed of processing, seamlessness, and real-time data synchronization. According to him, minimizing information latency is a critical requirement for securities firms' systems, enabling investors to fully benefit from T+0 and reduce risks associated with rapid trading speeds.
Giang assessed that T+0, allowing the sale of securities before they settle, will bring significant changes to market operations and investor decision-making. He stated, "That is why DNSE has focused its technology investments over the past five years, preparing its technical platform to serve the market in the coming period. Currently, DNSE's transaction processing speed is 3,9 milliseconds." Technology will be instrumental in helping investors mitigate risks stemming from trading psychology and seize opportunities more rapidly.

Addressing technology infrastructure preparation, a paramount factor in this new phase, Li Wen Wong, Senior Manager for IBM LinuxONE and Linux on IBM Z, IBM Technology Asia-Pacific, stated that in the era of high-speed trading, robust and secure server systems are crucial for reducing latency and enhancing trading performance. DNSE is among the first in Vietnam to utilize IBM's solutions, ensuring speed, availability, and security, while minimizing costs and elevating its technology system to international standards.
From a user experience perspective, Nguyen Duc Binh, Chief Technology Officer of DNSE Securities, introduced a new Open API solution. Recently, DNSE has integrated its API with partners such as Zalopay, FiinTrade, and Trading View, offering a "one-touch, multi-platform" securities trading experience. According to Binh, the new API empowers investors with proactive trading, allowing them to create strategies, utilize real-time market information with just 5 to 10 lines of code, and integrate AI to optimize trading performance. The product leverages DNSE's speed advantage, ensuring rapid order placement with the exchange, security, and compatibility with DNSE's per-transaction lending management model.

This aims to reduce transaction times to under 50 milliseconds, aligning with the demands of continuous intraday trading, rapid capital turnover, and increasing needs for intraday risk management.

During the discussion on data power, Vo Duy Anh, Founder and CEO of AlgoTrade, noted that with markets operating at millisecond speeds, investors find it challenging to process all information independently to make consistent decisions. Therefore, data, models, and algorithms will increasingly play a central role. He predicted that the 2026-2030 period would be suitable for the strong development of quantitative trading in Vietnam, as co-location services and APIs become more widespread. In the discussion session, speakers identified technology trends such as super app platforms, data-driven automated trading, and quantitative trading as areas poised for significant future growth. Many investors also raised questions regarding opportunities, risks, and appropriate approaches to new trading tools.
