This statement was made by Nguyen Duy Hung, a Board Member of Tan Hiep Phat, at the announcement ceremony for the Vietnam Private Economic Report and the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2025, held on 15/5.
Hung emphasized that businesses do not seek favoritism or special privileges. Instead, they require a stable, predictable legal environment that safeguards property rights and ensures seamless administrative procedures from central to local authorities. He stated that confidence in the fairness of institutions is crucial for private businesses to undertake long-term investments, rather than focusing solely on immediate gains.

The Vietnam Private Economic Report and the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2025 indicate that the private sector generates employment for approximately 26 million workers, representing over 50% of the national workforce. A Tan Hiep Phat representative highlighted the company's strategy of building capacity through substantial investment in production technology. The company imported aseptic filling lines from Germany nearly two decades ago. This technology allows for separate sterilization of products and packaging, eliminating the need for preservatives.
Following the initial technology transfer, the company's technical team independently adapted the operating procedures to local raw materials and climatic conditions. Today, Tan Hiep Phat operates four factory clusters in Ninh Binh, Da Nang, TP HCM, and Can Tho, featuring 12 aseptic lines valued at over 300 million USD. The company also plans an additional 100 million USD investment in 2025 to further upgrade its systems.

Tan Hiep Phat's leadership also acknowledges that the manufacturer's long-term investments generate a ripple effect throughout the supply chain. The company representative noted that the production ecosystem directly supports the livelihoods of farmers growing raw materials, packaging manufacturers, transport providers, and the distribution network. The company stated, "When manufacturers maintain stable orders and impose strict technical requirements, satellite partners must upgrade their management processes, expand their transport capacity, and create more employment opportunities for local workers."
For exports to markets including the US, Europe, and Australia, Tan Hiep Phat uses technical certifications such as FDA, Halal, ISO, and HACCP as benchmarks for its internal management system. The company's representative commented that meeting initial certification standards is less challenging than consistently maintaining uniform quality control processes across millions of products over many years of export.
Drawing from over 30 years of operation, Nguyen Duy Hung asserted that the private sector's dynamism arises from two parallel factors: regulatory bodies' efforts to reform the business environment and individual enterprises' consistent commitment to building internal strength. Tan Hiep Phat's leadership believes that when policies uphold transparency and ensure fair competition, societal resources will naturally flow to businesses demonstrating strong management and production capabilities.
