Thai Nguyen University of Education announced on 28/11 its admission methods for the 2026 academic year. These methods include: direct admission, considering scores from the Hanoi University of Education (SPT) aptitude test, utilizing high school graduation exam results, combining high school graduation exam scores with aptitude test scores or international certificates, and admitting students who have completed a pre-university program. The pre-university admission may also incorporate aptitude test scores.
This method, which combines aptitude test scores, applies only to applicants for music pedagogy, physical education, and sports coaching majors.
For the 2026 admissions, Thai Nguyen University of Education will no longer consider academic transcripts, a practice consistent with 2025. The university is also discontinuing the use of scores from two private exams: V-SAT and HSA. In their place, a new method will combine high school graduation exam scores with international certificates. The specific criteria and subject combinations for admission have not yet been disclosed.
Earlier, Hanoi University of Education 2 announced similar changes, dropping HSA scores and aptitude test results from Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi University of Education. This institution will now only consider scores from private exams organized by itself or Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
