Five students graduate early with 4.0 GPAs at National Economics University

Five students achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA after three early graduation review periods at National Economics University (NEU), the highest number in nearly 15 years.

The group includes Tran The Vu (from Phu Tho, graduated with a major in international business), Nguyen Anh Vu (from Hanoi, major in business administration), Thai Duong Ngoc Linh (from Hung Yen, major in public management), Trieu Anh Thien (from Hai Phong, major in logistics and supply chain management), and Tran Thi Chau Anh (from Hanoi, major in economic law).

All born in 2004, they completed their bachelor's programs in 3 to 3.5 years, shortening the usual timeframe by 0.5 to one year. On a 10-point scale, the students' grade point averages (GPAs) ranged from 9.25 to 9.38.

National Economics University stated this is the first time five students have graduated early with perfect scores in one year, the highest number since the university adopted the 4-point grading system in 2012. The graduation ceremony will take place this upcoming august.

The students shared that their main study methods included: preparing for classes beforehand, listening attentively during lectures, and noting down key points emphasized by instructors. During exam preparation, they actively sought additional materials, studied in groups, or discussed any difficulties with their teachers.

Four of the five valedictorians have secured full-time employment. Tran The Vu holds a business development position at an e-logistics company. Trieu Anh Thien primarily handles documentation and order tracking at a freight forwarding business.

Nguyen Anh Vu joined a business process outsourcing (BPO) company, while Tran Thi Chau Anh works as a legal officer at a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) consulting firm.

Ngoc Linh, however, is completing a dual degree program in law at National Economics University. She aims to graduate this fall, earning two bachelor's degrees in four years.
