Minh Ha, a student in class 9G0, achieved exceptional results in the recent 10th-grade entrance examination. According to an announcement from the Department of Education and Training on the evening of 19/6, she scored 9.25 in Literature, 9.5 in Mathematics, and a perfect 10 in English. Additionally, she received one priority point, raising her total admission score to 29.75, which made her this year's top scorer.
With her impressive score, Minh Ha successfully secured admission to Phan Dinh Phung High School, her first-choice school, exceeding the required score by four points.
Last year, Hanoi had eight top scorers, all achieving 28.75/30 points. Most of them scored a perfect 10 in English, with the majority achieving scores of nine or higher in the remaining two subjects.

The 2026 10th-grade entrance exam in Hanoi saw a record number of participants. Approximately 147,000 students graduated from middle school this year, with over 124,000 registering for the public 10th-grade entrance exam. With an enrollment target of around 82,660, the admission rate for registered candidates stands at 66%.
Admitted students can complete their enrollment procedures either online or in person from 25/6 to 27/6. Schools that have not met their quotas will consider additional admission scores on 3/7.
The Department announced it will accept appeals from candidates until 25/6. Students will know the results of their appeals by 9/7 at the latest.
