Hanoi University of Education 2 announced on 22/11 that for 2026 admissions, it will use several methods: direct admission, high school graduation exam scores, high school transcripts, results from independent exams organized by the university and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, and combined admissions with aptitude test scores.
For transcript-based admissions, the university will apply this method to majors such as: early childhood education, physical education, civic education, pedagogy in informatics, information technology, materials science, sports management, Vietnamese studies, and two new planned majors: education studies and political economy.
Consequently, 17 majors will no longer use this method, a change from this year. These include pedagogy in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, history, English, natural sciences, and history - geography. These majors have consistently had high admission scores in recent years.
For combined admissions, candidates applying to early childhood education, physical education, and sports management will take an aptitude test organized by the university. Their scores will then be combined with their high school graduation exam scores and independent assessment exam scores, which are organized by either the university or Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
Furthermore, the university will also cease to accept competency assessment exam scores from Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; and Hanoi University of Education.
