The University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, announced its provisional admission plan for 2026 on 16/2.
The university's most significant changes include a reduction in admission combinations from 42 to 24 and the discontinuation of combining IELTS scores with academic transcripts or high school graduation exam results for admission. This marks a shift from previous years' policies.
ULIS will admit students through three methods: direct admission, using graduation exam scores, and considering scores from Vietnam National University, Hanoi's high school assessment (HSA) exam. Minimum scores and certificate conversion tables for foreign language subjects in combinations will be announced later.
The 24 remaining combinations are for blocks featuring Physics, Chemistry, Biology, combined with Math and one foreign language (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German). The foreign language subject score will be multiplied by two in all admission combinations, then converted to a 30-point scale.
