On 11/6, Big Bang's management company confirmed the schedule for their 20th-anniversary world tour on its official website. Hanoi is one of the group's stops, alongside other Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. The announcement was immediately met with excitement from Vietnamese fans. Last year, group leader G-Dragon held two performances in Hung Yen, attracting nearly 100,000 spectators.
This marks the second time a prominent Kpop group will hold a solo concert at My Dinh national stadium. In 2023, Blackpink's two-night concert at the same venue drew over 60,000 attendees and generated more than 300 billion VND.

Big Bang's upcoming tour features three members: G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. They recently reunited on stage at the Coachella music festival in 4/2026, kicking off a series of activities to celebrate the group's 20th anniversary. At the event, leader G-Dragon first announced the tour plans to tens of thousands of fans. Details regarding the tour name, ticket prices, and sales dates have not yet been released.
Big Bang was once dubbed the "kings of Kpop". In 2020, they surpassed BTS and Blackpink, being voted by fans as the greatest Kpop artist of the 2010-2019 decade.
The group debuted in 2006 with five members: Seungri, G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, and Daesung. All members possessed strong vocal abilities, excellent coordination, songwriting skills, and fluid choreography, pursuing hip-hop and R&B genres. The group consistently received awards such as "artist of the year", "song of the year", and "album of the year" at major Asian music awards. In early 2010, their success also reached the US market. In 2015, Big Bang released MADE, which achieved widespread acclaim.
In 2018, things changed for Big Bang as members began enlisting in the military. Their final release with all five members was Flower Road. Even without active music promotions for the past four years, Big Bang's influence did not wane. Members maintained their appeal through other ventures such as fashion and collecting.
Upon their return in 2022, the group had only four members, as Seungri ceased activities after receiving a three-year prison sentence starting in 8/2021. In 2023, T.O.P also confirmed his departure from the group. In 2024, the group generated buzz by reuniting with a three-member lineup at the MAMA awards ceremony.
