Ngoc Chau, the Miss Universe Vietnam representative holding the rights to send contestants, stated that Cam Ly's beauty, stage skills, and intellect make her a suitable candidate for the competition. This year, Miss Universe Vietnam did not organize a new season to select a contestant; instead, a direct selection method, or "handpick", was used.

Do Cam Ly, 23, is originally from Phu Tho, but her family moved to Dong Nai several years ago. She holds an excellent bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, TP HCM. She is 1.73 m tall, with measurements of 88-61-97 cm, and a balanced face.

"I am mentally prepared and aim to win the crown", she said. "I also look forward to connecting with friends worldwide and having the chance to introduce a modern Vietnam, rich in identity".

For several weeks, the beauty has been training with a personal coach to enhance her physique. She also practices catwalk, public speaking, and foreign languages. Cam Ly is focusing on developing her community project, "Dream Bus - Education Caravan", which she introduced a year ago. The project aims to empower children through education, creating opportunities and supporting the development of life skills.

Miss Cosmo, organized by a domestic committee, aims to find a modern, influential woman. Over its two seasons, the competition has attracted a large number of contestants from around the world. International beauty websites like Missosology and Pageanthology have noted the pageant's scale, consistent contestant quality, and renowned judges, including Paula Shugart, former President of Miss Universe; Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021; and Olivia Yace, Miss World Africa 2022. The two previous winners are Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari (Indonesia) and Yolina Lindquist (US). The third season is expected to take place late this year, though the venue and theme are yet to be announced.
