How the former miss Korea stays eternally youthful through diet

Beyond her 100 leg raises each morning, "ageless beauty" Kim Sa-rang has garnered attention for her diet of protein-rich eggs, mushroom rice, and chayote juice.

Former Miss Korea Kim Sa-rang attracted significant attention by revealing her strict diet to maintain her physique in a video shared on her personal YouTube channel, "Kim Sa-rang sa rang," on 14/4. In the video, the 48-year-old actress updated viewers on her current situation and showcased new houseplants she had used to decorate her home.

During her presentation, Kim momentarily forgot the name of a plant. "This is precisely why we need to consume carbohydrates," she said with a laugh, detailing her daily menu. "This morning, I only ate one baked egg, and it was the same for dinner last night."

Previously, in another video, she shared six morning habits that contribute to her "eternally youthful" skin and figure as she nears 50. Kim Sa-rang begins her workout immediately upon waking with abdominal exercises. Lying on her back on a sofa, she repeatedly performs leg raises. She advises bending the knees slightly while raising and lowering the legs, simultaneously tightening the abdominal muscles. The actress performs a total of 100 repetitions, divided into sets of 20 to 30 times. This exercise focuses on "awakening" the body rather than high-intensity training.

After her abdominal workout, Kim Sa-rang checks her weight. She uses a specialized body composition scale to closely monitor not only her weight but also her body fat and water content. The beauty revealed she often "removes her clothes when weighing" to ensure absolute accuracy. Based on the results recorded each morning, she flexibly adjusts her food portions: "If the indicators are high, I eat less; if they are low, I eat a little more."

After checking her metrics, Kim Sa-rang begins stretching with a specialized foam roller. She lies on the floor, rolls along her back, and focuses on movements that relieve tension in the armpit area. The actress demonstrates how to press and stimulate the back of the neck for a deeper effect on muscle groups. This technique helps her both circulate the lymphatic system and soften muscle tissues, making her body feel lighter.

In addition to maintaining her physique, Kim Sa-rang prioritizes skin protection using LED mask technology. After cleansing her face and applying basic skincare steps, she wears the mask, allowing light rays to deeply stimulate skin cells. The actress shared, "I feel my blood circulation process significantly improves." The stimulation from the light not only helps even out skin tone but also imparts a radiant appearance, to the extent that she often receives compliments that her face always seems to glow.

Once her external care routine is complete, Kim Sa-rang moves to her nutritional menu, featuring a distinctive green juice made from chayote. She blends chayote with apple, cucumber, kiwi, and a small amount of basil to create a refreshing drink. The beauty shared that if a little water is added to adjust the consistency, this drink becomes very palatable, with a flavor profile combining apple, cucumber, and melon. Thanks to its abundant fiber content, the juice not only supports digestion but also creates a lasting feeling of fullness, helping her effectively control cravings.

After detoxifying her body with the green juice, Kim Sa-rang enjoys a nutritious mushroom rice for breakfast. She cooks rice with various types of mushrooms, then sprinkles a small amount of hemp seeds on top once the rice is cooked.

The actress explained that after a health check-up, she received advice to incorporate more mushrooms into her diet. She has consistently maintained this eating regimen since then. Kim Sa-rang calls this her "longevity diet" because the dish not only provides a rich source of plant protein but is also easy to prepare, helping her maintain healthy eating habits sustainably without feeling pressured.

Kim Sa-rang, born in 1978, was crowned Miss Korea in 2000. Following her win, she ventured into acting, appearing in many popular television dramas such as Thousand Years of Love, The Legend, Secret Garden, and Beloved Eun-dong. She is renowned for her youthful beauty, attributed to her consistent self-care and diligent training.
