A cough lasting over ba weeks, whether dry, with phlegm, or even blood, accompanied by chest pain and shortness of breath, are common indicators of respiratory and lung diseases, including lung tuberculosis and lung cancer.
Many mistakenly believe that lung tuberculosis only affects those working in polluted or toxic environments. In reality, this disease can affect anyone, including office workers. The bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which causes tuberculosis, spreads through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. In enclosed office environments with air conditioning and a high concentration of people, the bacteria can spread easily.
Sedentary habits, work stress, and frequent late nights can weaken the immune system, creating favorable conditions for tuberculosis bacteria to attack.

Given your current symptoms, you should seek a medical examination for a lung check-up and screening for lung tuberculosis and cancer. Depending on your condition, the doctor may order other methods such as: a chest X-ray, molecular biological tests (PCR, Xpert, LPA), a lung CT scan, or blood tests. These diagnostics help determine the cause of the illness, enabling a suitable treatment regimen and limiting complications or sequelae.
