In an official letter sent to the E-commerce and Digital Economy Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), as well as e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada Vietnam, the Food Safety Authority reported that Slimaura Care x3 was advertised on these platforms as a weight loss support product. It was marketed to overweight individuals and those with abdominal fat, with claims of "supporting weight and physique control". The product was priced at approximately 500,000 VND per box.
The authority's post-inspection of functional food declaration registrations and business operations revealed that Product Declaration Registration Certificate No. 838/2024/DKSP, issued on 23/2/2024, had not been granted to Slimaura Care Vietnam Trading and Services Co., Ltd. for this product.

The Food Safety Authority urged the E-commerce and Digital Economy Department to direct Shopee and Lazada to halt sales, remove product information, and submit a report by 7/8.
Shopee and Lazada must urgently review all functional food sales on their platforms. They are permitted to list only products that have received a declaration registration certificate from competent authorities or have been declared on the food safety data system. Additionally, all advertising content requires confirmation from authorities before being published.
This action aims to regulate functional food sales in the e-commerce sector, prevent the circulation of unapproved products, and safeguard consumer health and rights.
